Michael Thomas Injury Update Solidifies His WR1 Fantasy Outlook for Week 8

New Orleans Saints superstar wide receiver Michael Thomas returned to the team's practice on Thursday. This news has huge implications for fantasy football, as Thomas looked to be in danger of missing Week 8. But this puts him on track to play suit up the Chicago Bears this weekend.
Assuming Thomas is active, he should be viewed as a WR1.

Michael Thomas Fantasy Outlook
This is welcome news for Thomas' fantasy managers, who have only gotten one game out of the receiver this season. His 2020 campaign has been a roller coaster ride, as he missed Week 2-4 due a high-ankle sprain suffered in Week 1. He was then suspended for Week 5 due to an issue that occurred in practice.
And just when it looked like he was set to return in Week 7, he suffered a mid-week hamstring injury that kept him out as well.
Now that he's finally back on track to return, he should immediately start putting up top-five WR numbers.
He does draw a difficult matchup with the Bears, but a healthy Thomas is simply too talented to be left on the bench. It'll be crucial to monitor the team's practice reports tomorrow, but he should be safe to use as a WR1 in Week 8.
