Matisse Thybulle Stats & Info
Matisse Thybulle is limited offensively, but he projects as an NBA-ready defender who is capable of finding a role right away. The Washington product put his dynamic athleticism and 7-foot wingspan to good use as a senior in the 2018-19 season, racking up 3.5 steals per game (SPG) and 2.2 blocks per game (BPG), though he only scored 9.1 points per game (PPG).
While his 3-point shooting leaves much to be desired (30.5 percent from 3-point range), he did manage to shoot 85.1 percent from the free-throw line, which is often a good barometer for a player's true shooting ability. If Matisse can become a more consistent shooter, he could quickly play a big role in the NBA mainly due to his tremendous defensive ability.

Matisse Thybulle NBA Draft Predictions
- Boston Celtics (No. 20, 22), Philadelphia 76ers (No. 23)
What Boston does this summer is really anyone's guess, but taking Thybulle at No. 22 would be a quintessential Celtics' pick. Thybulle could be a great fit on a team like the Celtics, as his defensive versatility could make him a seamless fit in head coach Brad Stevens' system. Boston has three first-round picks, so don't be surprised if GM Danny Ainge uses one of his late first-round picks on Thybulle.
Thybulle could also be a great fit on another Eastern Conference contender – the Philadelphia 76ers. The 76ers will be up against the cap this coming season, and Philadelphia's lack of depth hurt the team in the recent NBA Playoffs. Drafting a rookie capable of playing right away could be a huge help in the City of Brotherly Love, and Thybulle could be that guy.
