During the New England Patriots' Thursday Night Football loss to the Buffalo Bills, quarterback Mac Jones was caught on camera screaming at someone, who many presumed was coach Matt Patricia. Jones was emphasizing and criticizing that the Patriots needed to pass more and run less, in so many words. Of course, he said it with a little more of an NSFW flair.
When asked about the outburst, Jones walked back his comments a bit and said he let his emotions get the best of him, something not uncommon in young quarterbacks.
All that being said, it's easy to see why Jones was frustrated. The offense as a whole was not performing and gained less than 250 yards combined. Only 60 of that came on the ground, but that was also on 14 total rushes and three of those came from Jones himself.
It was clearly a frustrating night all around for the Patriots, who are trying to keep pace in the AFC playoff race.
The Patriots now sit at 6-6 and in last place in the AFC East, but remain only 1.5 games out of the last Wild Card spot.
