When the Chicago Bears earned the No. 1 overall pick in the 2023 NFL Draft during the last week of the NFL's regular season, the debates instantly began.

Should the Bears hang on to the No. 1 pick and draft a new quarterback? Take a defensive star instead? Or trade the pick for a pile of assets to help build around Justin Fields, who took a big step forward in his second season under center.

Bears Draft Rumors

According to ESPN's NFL insider Adam Schefter, Chicago will receive "unbelievable offers" for the No. 1 overall pick.

This isn't surprising given the number of QB-needy teams this offseason, a list that includes the Atlanta Falcons, Carolina Panthers, Las Vegas Raiders, Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Washington Commanders.

If the Bears decide to trade down, they could likely net at least two first-round picks in return and potentially more if a bidding war ensues. That would enable them to address multiple deficiencies on both offense and defense.

Chicago's in a great spot right now and still has a couple of months to go until draft day, so there's plenty of time to feel out the market and get a sense of what teams would be willing to offer. While last season was a disappointment for the Bears, next season has the potential to be much, much better.
