It may be time to hit the panic button in Los Angeles. The Lakers went 3-5 in the NBA Bubble, getting outscored by an average margin of 7.0 points per game (PPG) during that span. Most fans and analysts alike assumed the team would just turn it on when the NBA Playoffs began, but that certainly didn't happen last night.

Los Angeles lost Game 1 to the Portland Trail Blazers, 100-93. That loss has caused the Lakers' odds to win the NBA Finals to plummet, according to FanDuel Sportsbook.

Lakers Finals Odds

The Lakers are now available at +500 to win it all. They've maintained their grasp on the third-best NBA Finals odds, but it's still a huge drop from where they were on Monday (+320).

Meanwhile, the Los Angeles Clippers and Milwaukee Bucks (who were also upset in Game 1) are now tied for the best odds at +260. There's still a pretty solid drop-off after that top three, with the Toronto Raptors checking in at +950 followed by the Houston Rockets (+1000) and Boston Celtics (+1400). But the gap between the Lakers and the rest of the field is simply not what it used to be.

There's a chance the NBA Finals race is more wide open than previously thought.
