Summer is almost here and that means it is time to start looking ahead to the college football season that begins in the fall. Two storied schools will meet to begin their seasons as the LSU Tigers travel to face the UCLA Bruins. The kickoff time and TV channel have now both been set for this anticipated game.
This LSU-UCLA matchup will kick off at 8:30 p.m. ET on Saturday, Sept. 4. This contest will be played at the historic Rose Bowl Stadium in Pasadena, Calif., and air nationally on FOX.
LSU-UCLA Game Info
This will be LSU's first game ever played at the Rose Bowl, which only adds to the excitement of suiting up at this hallowed venue. The Tigers went a disappointing 5-5 in 2020 after the departure of Joe Burrow and Ja'Marr Chase's absence due to opting out. But they're primed for a bounce-back year with Max Johnson and Myles Brennan both providing great options at quarterback.
UCLA is coming off of a down 3-4 record last year. The team has finished without a winning record in each of Chip Kelly's first three seasons, but with an uninterrupted season ahead of them, the Bruins will look to rebound. Heisman Trophy contender Dorian Thompson-Robinson provides experience under center for this offense as the senior hopes to end his collegiate career on a high note.
LSU is tied for the ninth-best odds to win the national championship in 2021 at +5000, while UCLA has +10000 odds to win the title, according to FanDuel Sportsbook.
