Sometimes it can take a player a decent amount of time to warm up to a new coach. Fortunately for Minnesota Vikings fans, that isn't the case for dynamic wideout Justin Jefferson and the team's next head coach, Kevin O'Connell.

Jefferson had some praise to give out during his Pro Bowl interview on Friday, however, the 22-year-old also took a shot at former Vikings head coach Mike Zimmer in the process.

Jefferson told reporters that he's "happy" to have O'Connell as his coach because he'll be "my first head coach that’s gonna be on the offensive side instead of the defensive side."

The second-year wide receiver added that he's been watching the Los Angeles Rams and likes what O'Connell has done with them as their offensive coordinator.

"I've been watching the Rams' offense for a minute and they get their playmakers the ball. They have tremendous plays, Cooper Kupp wide open all the time. I'm excited for it."

While Zimmer may have a defense-first mentality, the Vikings have finished with a top-13 offense in both of Jefferson's first two seasons. He's made 196 receptions over that stretch, tallying 3,016 receiving yards (No. 1 in the NFL since 2020) and 17 touchdowns.

Nevertheless, O'Connell and the Rams must deal with the Cincinnati Bengals at Super Bowl 56 before he gets acquainted with his new star wideout. If he can have the same impact on Jefferson's career as he did with Kupp, the Vikings will be a team to watch in 2022.
