Andrew Luck famously and surprisingly retired from football at the age of 29 just prior to the start of the 2019 season. Considered one of the top quarterbacks in the game at the time from a talent perspective, Luck's injury history simply became too much. So in fear of suffering injuries that would affect him for the rest of his life, he called it a career.

However, there have been rumors popping up lately that Luck is considering a comeback after two seasons away.

While they have been nothing but rumors up to this point, Indianapolis Colts owner Jim Irsay has now given us some legitimate answers on Luck's plans, and it sounds like Luck won't be suiting up anytime soon.

While you might expect Irsay to shoot down rumors like this, it is interesting that he was so definitive about it. Indy will likely need to look elsewhere for their next starting QB.

Although, until the 2021 season kicks off, we will all be wondering in some capacity if Luck will somehow get back on an NFL field.
