The Cleveland Cavaliers will be without two of their top big men for Monday’s matchup against the San Antonio Spurs. Both Jarrett Allen and Larry Nance Jr. have been ruled out tonight against San Antonio.
Allen was acquired earlier in the year as part of the trade that sent James Harden to the Brooklyn Nets, and he’s averaged 13.8 points and 9.7 rebounds per game with the Cavaliers. That said, he will miss his fifth straight game due to a concussion.
Nance also remains out of the lineup, and he’ll miss his fourth consecutive game due to an illness.
With both players out, expect Dean Wade to continue to start alongside Kevin Love. Love has played limited minutes since returning to the lineup. He played 20 minutes in his first game following an extended absence, and he played 23 minutes in his last game.
He should see a few additional minutes against the Spurs, but that still leaves plenty of minutes for Wade, Taurean Prince, and Isaiah Hartenstein.
