Update - November 7 11:21 a.m. EST: James Robinson has officially been ruled out.

The frustration continues for fantasy football managers who are rostering James Robinson.

James Robinson Injury Update

After making an early exit in Week 8, there's not much optimism that he plays against the Buffalo Bills on Sunday. That crushes his fantasy football outlook, but it does provide a huge of a boost for Carlos Hyde.

Carlos Hyde Fantasy Outlook

Robinson went down after just 8 snaps last week, and Hyde stepped up by playing a season-high 66% of the Jags' offensive snaps.

Hyde doesn't have much of a reputation as a receiver, but the fact that he saw a massive 8 targets in that game is what makes his fantasy outlook really exciting today.

The Jags are 14-point underdogs, meaning they're probably not going to be able to run the ball much. That's exactly what we saw last week, when Hyde had just 9 carries in a 31-7 blowout loss. His receiving work alone earned him 10.0 PPR fantasy points (compared to 3.2 from his rushing stats).

That's going to be what Hyde managers need to count on this week. It limits his upside, for sure, but assuming Robinson's full every-down role gives Hyde a solid floor in PPR leagues.
