Jalen Reagor was generating a lot of hype this offseason. The Philadelphia Eagles spent a first-round pick on the speedy receiver, and he's joining a team that desperately needed some more talent at the position. That combination of ability and opportunity made him an intriguing fantasy football sleeper.

Unfortunately, most of that hype was derailed when the rookie suffered a shoulder injury that threatened to knock him out for the first few games of the season.

However, Reagor has seemingly recovered faster than most were expecting and looks like he's going to suit up in Week 1. That once again makes him a high-upside fantasy football asset.

Jalen Reagor Injury Update

Reagor is still no guarantee to suit up in Week 1, but the fact that he's close is huge for his fantasy value. When healthy he has a chance to see a huge role for this team.

Last season, the Eagles didn't have a single wide receiver reach 500 receiving yards. Alshon Jeffery is already injured. DeSean Jackson has proven to be extremely brittle as well, as he hasn't played a 16-game season since 2013. A healthy Reagor figures to be one of Carson Wentz's top targets.

The two should be an excellent fit. Wentz is at his best when he's able to push the ball downfield. In his 2017 near-MVP campaign, he had an average depth of target (aDOT) of 9.9. Without many viable deep threats, though, that number fell to 7.7 and 8.0, respectively, over the two subsequent seasons.

The addition of a burner like Reagor could help take the top off the defense again.

Reagor is looking like a great player to stash right now. Even if he can't suit up in Week 1, he has a real chance to surprise some people once he gets back on the field.
