The Los Angeles Chargers are one of the brightest up and coming NFL teams, but they're set to lose an offensive playmaker in Hunter Henry to free agency this offseason. The tight end has become a dependable target in the passing game and racked up a career-high 60 receptions for 613 yards and 4 touchdowns last season.

At 26 years old, Henry is a free agent ready to contribute right away and improve any offense he ends up signing with. Tight end is a shallow position, especially in this free-agent class, so he should see a ton of interest. With that in mind, here are three predictions on possible landing spots for Henry.

1. Carolina Panthers

The Carolina Panthers' passing game could use a jolt and adding Henry to the mix would do just that. Carolina had just one touchdown scored by a tight end last season and their starters had some problems dropping the football. Henry shines at catching the ball as he dropped just 2 passes all of last season. His 21 career touchdowns could also give this team a new end zone target and help improve an offense that ranked No. 28 in the NFL in red zone touchdown rate.

2. New England Patriots

Since they lost Rob Gronkowksi, the New England Patriots have struggled to find any type of production from the tight end position. Henry's ability to run crisp routes down the field as well as block on offense when needed should make him a very attractive option for head coach Bill Belichick. With the third-highest projected cap space number, New England could add up a starter for years to come by signing Henry to a long-term deal.

3. Jacksonville Jaguars

The Jaguars are expected to have Trevor Lawrence taking the snaps next season. If that is the case, Jacksonville needs to have strong weapons around him ready to help quicken his development. Bringing in Henry would be a major upgrade over the recently-released Tyler Eifert. Plus, with the highest projected cap space number in the NFL, the Jaguars can be the high bidder when it comes to signing Henry.
