The New Orleans Saints suffered a brutal loss to NFC South foe Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 13. Not only did New Orleans let Tampa Bay score 14 unanswered points in the final minutes, but they also had a chance to milk the clock before running back Mark Ingram inexplicably ran out of bounds.
To make matters worse, Ingram also picked up a major injury in the final minutes of Monday's contest and may have played his final game in a Saints uniform.
Mark Ingram Injury Update
New Orleans learned devastating news on Wednesday that Ingram suffered a slight tear of his MCL. He'll be out 4-6 weeks and is likely done for the year.
As Saints insider Nick Underhill points out, Ingram's current contract expires at the end of the regular season. At 33 years old, this may have been one final ugly chapter to close out a strong 10-year run with the franchise that drafted him in the first round all the way back in 2011.
