After two years of flashing potential with the Los Angeles Rams, Gerald Everett has finally started to consistently show what fantasy owners should expect from the third-year TE.
Heading into this weekend's matchup with a reeling Atlanta Falcons' defense, however, few seem to be considering him as one of the top TE streaming plays of the week.
On the season, Atlanta is allowing the second-most points per game (PPG) in the league at 31.0. On top of that, they rank 27th in the league in passing defense, allowing 271.2 yards per game. With injuries in the backfield and a struggling quarterback, there is a good chance the Rams turn to the pass in order to beat the Falcons this week.
Everett's individual matchup also looks fantastic, as he will be facing an Atlanta defense that allows the 13th-most fantasy points to the tight end position. Over their last two contests against the Houston Texans and Arizona Cardinals, respectively, the Falcons have allowed eight catches on eight targets for 83 yards and three touchdowns to TEs.
The bad news for the Falcons is that neither of those teams have a player at the TE position producing like Everett. Over the last three weeks, he is averaging eight targets and almost five receptions a game totaling 189 yards and a touchdown in that span.
In a matchup with Week 7's highest projected scoring total of 54.5 points, according to FanDuel Sportsbook, Everett should have a great matchup with plenty of scoring opportunities.
