The Buffalo Bills didn't skip a beat with Gabe Davis sidelined in Week 2, but their offense is even scarier when he is connecting on deep routes with quarterback Josh Allen. Fantasy managers rostering the young wideout will be glad to learn he is set to suit up against the Miami Dolphins.

Gabe Davis Fantasy Outlook

Davis had been listed as questionable throughout the week as he worked his way back from a nasty ankle injury. The 23-year-old was a limited participant in practice and reports suggest his workouts were getting more intense at the end of the week. His improvement was enough to be ruled active.

There should be no hesitation here. Davis is a viable starter moving forward in an offense that is tied for the highest passing yards per game average through two weeks (302.5). Davis' rapport with Allen was clear in Week 1 as he hauled in 4 of his 5 targets for 88 yards and 1 touchdown (18.8 PPR points).

While the Dolphins' secondary is full of talented players, it is a unit susceptible to giving up chunk plays through the air. That was clear when wide receiver Rashod Bateman got loose on a 75-yard touchdown play in Week 2. Davis also scored a touchdown against Miami in a Week 8 matchup last year.

Yes, ankle injuries can be tough for WRs given their tendency to have to change direction or make cuts on a dime. However, the Bills wouldn't play Davis if he wasn't ready to go. The Central Florida standout checks in as the WR21 in The Duel's Week 3 PPR fantasy football rankings.
