Finally, after months of delays, The Masters is finally happening in 2020. Set to kick off this Thursday at Augusta National, the field is loaded as usual. With the biggest names in golf prepared to tee off and Tiger Woods looking to defend his crown, The Masters this year should be an exciting one.
With that in mind, let's take a look at some golfers to consider when putting together your fantasy team.
Dustin Johnson has been playing excellent golf of late, both in his most recent appearances at Augusta and elsewhere. In his two events, during what is technically a new season, Johnson finished T-6 and T-2. In his four events prior to that, he never finished worse than T-2, and that included two wins. In his last four starts at The Masters, Johnson has never finished outside the top-10, which includes a second-place finish last year.
Rickie Fowler might be the best player ever to not win a major, but he sure has come close, and he's come close at Augusta National a handful of times. In his last six starts at The Masters, Fowler has never finished outside the top-12, which includes a second-place finish two years ago. He hasn't been in his top form of late, but he's been consistently successful here and could benefit from getting a few weeks off. He has to be someone at the top of your consideration list.
Xander Schauffele doesn't have as much experience at Augusta as the other guys do, but he has performed well in his limited experience there. With only two starts at Augusta, last year he really broke through, finishing T-2. His recent form has been great too. In his last four starts, he has finished T-17, second, fifth and second. He also ranks No. 10 in Strokes Gained (SG): Around-The-Green, No. 13 in SG: Putting, No. 12 in SG Tee-To-Green and finally No. 3 in SG: Total.
