If you didn't get the chance to make a few key waiver wire adds last week, there are still players available on the waiver wire that could give your fantasy team the boost it needs to close out Week 3 on a high note.

Here are five MLB players that are worth a mid-week waiver wire pickup.

1. Hunter Dozier, 1B/3B, Kansas City Royals

Hunter Dozier hasn't exactly lived up to his top-prospect billing in his short Major League career, but he's really been putting things together as of late. The 27-year-old has been knocking the cover off the ball, owning a ridiculous 1.336 OPS with three homers and five RBI over his last 28 at-bats. Dozier is available in 67 percent of Yahoo! Fantasy Baseball leagues.

2. Scott Kingery, 3B/SS/OF, Philadelphia Phillies

Scott Kingery has seen limited action so far this year, but he's made a significant impact whenever he sees the field. The 25-year-old is batting an unreal .529 with two dingers and six RBI across his last 17 at-bats. Kingery is available in 84 percent of Yahoo! Fantasy Baseball leagues, but his ownership has spiked by a whopping 14 percent in recent days. Pick him up as soon as possible.

3. Delino DeShields, OF, Texas Rangers

Delino DeShields is another player that has seen limited action as of late, but he's been an absolutely stud whenever he's taken the field over the past week. The 26-year-old is batting .400 with five runs scored and four stolen bases in his last 15 at-bats. DeShields is owned in just seven percent of Yahoo! Fantasy Baseball leagues and should be added immediately by anyone in need of steals this week.

4. Mike Minor, SP, Texas Rangers

Minor had a pretty ugly start to the 2019 season, but he's been absolutely lights out ever since. The 31-year-old southpaw owns a 2-1 record with a microscopic 0.78 ERA and 19 strikeouts over his last three starts. Oh, and he's also held opposing hitters to a .167 batting average over that span. Minor is owned in 37 percent of Yahoo! Fantasy Baseball leagues, but has seen his ownership spike by an incredible 24 percent recently. Adding him as soon as possible would clearly be a smart move.

5. Ian Kennedy, RP, Kansas City Royals

The Royals have gone with a closer-by-committee approach so far this season, but the ninth inning could soon belong to Kennedy if he keeps up his current form. The 34-year-old righty hasn't allowed a run in his last four appearances and has struck out eight batters over his last 5.1 innings. Kennedy is available in 93 percent of Yahoo! Fantasy Baseball leagues, so pick him up while you can. Especially if your league uses holds as a scoring metric.
