Falcons Remove Drake London in Precautionary Move After Impressive First Drive

Falcons' rookie wide receiver Drake London was ruled out after suffering a right knee injury in the first drive of Friday's preseason game.
London appeared to suffer the injury, which is considered minor according to multiple Atlanta reporters, on his lone reception of the night, a 24-yard catch-and-run along the right sideline.
Drake London Injury Update
The Pro Football Docs believe the move is precautionary on the part of the Falcons, as there was no clear injury mechanism on the catch and tackle and certainly nothing that will impact him going forward.
The Docs' biggest takeaway from London's short appearance is that he showed impressive burst and strength in his surgically-repaired right ankle.

London missed the second half of his final college season after suffering a dislocated ankle in October, an injury that the Pro Football Docs have been confident won't hinder him in his rookie season.
Despite the issue, London was the first receiver selected in the 2022 Draft and is the presumptive No. 1 wideout in a rebuilding Falcons' offense.
