Eagles Get More Good News on Avonte Maddox's Injury Before NFC Championship

The Philadelphia Eagles are probably the healthiest team remaining in the NFL Playoffs, and that trend looks to continue after the latest news surrounding nickel cornerback Avonte Maddox on Thursday.
Maddox returned to the Eagles' practice field on Thursday after a lengthy absence. He hasn't played since Christmas Eve when he suffered a toe injury against the Dallas Cowboys.

“We feel like he’s on a trajectory up. Getting better every day. We’re hopeful, and we’ll see.”
Avonte Maddox Injury Update
Head coach Nick Sirianni had this to say about Maddox's potential return; "We feel like he's on a trajectory up. Getting better every day. We're hopeful, and we'll see."
The hope is for Maddox to return to an already-healthy Eagles squad for the NFC Championship. The only other player listed on Philadelphia's injury report is offensive lineman Lane Johnson. He was limited because of a groin issue in practice this week.
As it stands, the Eagles are considered 2.5-point home favorites against the 49ers, per the NFL odds on FanDuel Sportsbook.
