Having already clinched a playoff spot and still in prime position to grab the No. 1 seed in the NFC, the Philadelphia Eagles revealed a brutal injury update on quarterback Jalen Hurts Monday. Hurts reportedly suffered a shoulder sprain against the Chicago Bears in Week 15, calling his Week 16 availability into question.
Despite the fierce implications of a rivalry clash against the Dallas Cowboys, the Eagles may decide to play it safe with their MVP candidate quarterback this week.
Fortunately, Philadelphia's offense will be getting a boost in the form of tight end Dallas Goedert.
Dallas Goedert Injury Update
On Tuesday, NFL insider Adam Schefter revealed that the Eagles officially activated Goedert back to the 53-man roster. He's been stuck on injured reserve since Week 11 because of his own shoulder injury.
Philly flirted with the idea of bringing him back for last weekend's clash in Chicago, but opted for another week of rest and recovery instead.
Goedert was on a tear to begin the year and put up 3 touchdowns while averaging nearly 5 receptions and 60.4 receiving yards per game.
For now, the Eagles are considered 6-point road underdogs in Dallas according to the NFL odds on FanDuel Sportsbook.
