NBA players made their voices heard on Wednesday by electing not to take the court for any of their playoff matchups. This situation is still very much evolving, with an NBA Board of Governors meeting scheduled for Thursday morning, but plenty of players are taking to social media to speak out.
One player that has come out against potentially striking is Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green.
Green says that going out there and doing their job is what gives NBA players a voice and platform and that electing to strike is giving up that platform.
He also compares NBA players to high-profile employees of different jobs, pointing out that people in other industries are not expected to halt their work.
Whether the NBA players elect to end the season or not is still up in the air, but it does appear as though the league will be on pause for at least another day as players and league officials sort out the difficult, emotional situation.
