Dolphins O-Line Takes Big Injury Hit on Friday
By Larry Rupp

The Miami Dolphins' roster features a number of questionable statuses heading into Week 2, but one player has now been downgraded to out. Starting right guard Austin Jackson is being placed on the injured reserve due to an ankle injury he suffered in Week 1. He'll be sidelined for at least four weeks.
Austin Jackson is going on short-term IR, per Dolphins coach Mike McDaniel.

Austin Jackson Injury Update
Jackson only appeared in 14 offensive snaps against the New England Patriots before needing to be replaced. The third-year pro was coming off a stellar 2021 season in which he gave up only 2 sacks across 1,096 offensive snaps. He did struggle with penalties, though, logging 12 in 17 games played.
Originally drafted to be Laremy Tunsil's long-term replacement, Jackson was moved to right tackle this year after the Dolphins signed Terron Armstead to man the left side. Veteran Greg Little will now be called upon to start moving forward after allowing 1 sack on 45 offensive snaps played in Week 1.
Dolphins News
The Dolphins brought in more depth this past week when they signed Brandon Shell to their practice squad. Shell has started 61 games in his six-year career with the Seattle Seahawks and New York Jets. In 2021, the 30-year-old allowed 3 sacks and drew 1 penalty across 550 offensive snaps.
Keeping quarterback Tua Tagovailoa's blind side protected is going to be a crucial part of the Dolphins' game plan on Sunday. After all, the Baltimore Ravens racked up 4 sacks in this head-to-head matchup last year. Keep an eye on whether Little proves to be up to the task or not.
For now, Miami has odds set at +2800 to win Super Bowl 57, according to FanDuel Sportsbook.
