The Los Angeles Dodgers are dealing with multiple injuries to key contributors as they begin the second half of their season. Reliever Victor Gonzalez was sidelined ahead of the All-Star break with a left foot injury, though he recently returned to action at a rehab assignment this past weekend.
The Dodgers got some great news on Gonzalez's status on Monday.
Victor Gonzalez Injury
LA has officially activated Gonzalez from the IL, which was expected after his successful rehab assignment. It's finally some positive progress on the injury front as the Dodgers eye first place in the NL West.
Gonzalez owns a 3-1 record this season with a 2.57 ERA and 26 strikeouts across 28.0 innings pitched. The 25-year-old was a key part of LA's bullpen during its World Series run in 2020 and his health will be key once again down the stretch.
The Dodgers are the current favorite to win the World Series in 2021 at +380, according to FanDuel Sportsbook.
