Derrick Henry Fantasy Outlook Surging After 2020 Performance

Very few running backs — if any at all — in the NFL can dominate a game as much as Tennessee Titans RB Derrick Henry. Nobody has more than his 5,370 rushing yards since 2017 and considering how the Titans improved their offense over the offseason, he's in line to continue his domination.
By eclipsing 2,000 rushing yards last season, Henry became just the eighth player in NFL history to accomplish this task. As a result, Fantasy Pros is currently listing him as RB3 with an average draft position of 3.4.

Derrick Henry Fantasy Outlook
Even though Henry is listed as RB3, there's a strong chance that he can finish the season as the best at his position. The Titans averaged 31.9 rushing attempts (2nd) and 161.2 rushing yards (2nd) per game last season, which shows that the volume is there for him to finish the fantasy season as the top-ranked running back. Considering how having two No. 1 wideouts in Julio Jones and A.J. Brown should open up the field for Henry, could put up even more impressive numbers.
Henry finished the 2020 NFL season with 2,141 total yards and 17 touchdowns. Some fantasy owners may be concerned that he doesn't get involved too much in Tennessee's passing game (19 receptions on 31 targets), but that doesn't really affect his performance. Henry still ended the campaign with 397 total touches — by far the most in the league.
No one in Tennessee's backfield will threaten Henry's production, so fantasy owners should feel confident drafting him anywhere in the first round. At this rate, it seems like the only thing that can stop Henry from dominating all fantasy formats is himself.
