The 2021 NFL offseason is shaping up to see some major movement of starting quarterbacks with teams hoping to solidify their contender chances next season. One QB has already changed teams, while several others look headed for a similar fate.

Las Vegas Raiders quarterback Derek Carr is the latest to find himself in trade rumors, reportedly being a hot target around the league.

With that in mind, here are three likely trade destinations for Derek Carr in 2021.

Derek Carr Trade Rumors

1. San Francisco 49ers

It's clear that the San Francisco 49ers are trying to replace Jimmy Garoppolo. They offered a meager trade package for Matthew Stafford, and they ended up fumbling their chance for a clear upgrade. Carr presents at least a change of pace for the often-injured Jimmy G, and he's an obviously talented QB. Perhaps Kyle Shanahan could unlock Carr's full potential on an offense loaded with talent.

2. Indianapolis Colts

The Indianapolis Colts are facing a hole at starting QB following the retirement of Philip Rivers. Carr, though, is potentially available and gives them a more known quantity than betting on a free agent like Jameis Winston or Ryan Fitzpatrick to be the answer. This team is positioned to contend right now, meaning they shouldn't skimp when it comes to their next starting quarterback. With the third-most projected cap space, Indy could easily take on Carr and sign the weapons he needs to do serious damage.

3. Houston Texans

Carr's name has been brought up as a trade candidate due to the rumors surrounding Deshaun Watson. The Houston Texans are weighing their options for any Watson deal, and Las Vegas could offer Carr along with picks if Houston is looking to retool rather than rebuild. The Raiders have stuggled hitting on draft picks recently, so it'd make sense if the team wants to forgo unknown prospects for a known star in Watson. A pair of quarterbacks just swapped teams between the Los Angeles Rams and Detroit Lions, and it's at least worth considering the possibility of it happening again during this wild offseason.
