Green Bay Packers' WR Davante Adams put up impressive numbers for fantasy owners last season as he developed into the Packers' clear-cut No. 1 option in the passing game. Adams' 111 receptions for 1,386 yards and 13 touchdowns made him one of the best players in all of fantasy football. Additionally, his 169 targets were second most in the entire NFL, behind only Atlanta Falcons wide receiver, Julio Jones, who had 170 balls thrown his way.

As staggering as those numbers may be, it's possible that Adams' production and target share increase even more in 2019.

While it's not uncommon for quarterbacks to make a hyperbolic statement about one of their top offensive weapons, Aaron Rodgers' enthusiasm about Adams should not be easily dismissed. Under new head coach, Matt LaFleur, Rodgers should have plenty of say in the offensive game plan. After establishing a rapport with Adams last season, it's hard to see a situation in which Rodgers doesn't target the 26-year-old wideout as much as possible.

Given the rest of the Packers' receiving corps, it makes sense that Rodgers is determined to feed Adams as much as possible. The Green Bay Packers finished last season thin at WR, and have since done very little to address this need. Their current depth at receiver features Adams and a bunch of first and second year players hoping to carve out roles for themselves in the Packers' offense.

If the Packers fail to add any more firepower to their offense prior to the start of the season, Adams should be drafted as a WR1 in all fantasy league formats, as he has a legitimate shot to finish the season as one of the top two or three fantasy producers at his position.
