Eagles Reportedly Receiving Major Carson Wentz Trade Interest

Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Carson Wentz is expected to be one of a few big-name QBs who could be on the move this offseason. While he hasn't publicly made a trade request yet, it looks headed in that direction with Jalen Hurts on the roster and at least several teams who would be interested in acquiring Wentz.

A recent report indicates that Wentz is generating "aggressive" trade offers from some teams already.

We already knew that teams were starting to call the Eagles, although they claimed they had no interest in dealing Wentz. However, with teams coming in hot with trade offers, it's possible that one package ticks all of Philly's boxes, leading to a deal.

Still, a Wentz deal won't be easy to pull off. The Eagles reportedly are expecting a decent haul for their former starter despite his truly bad 2020 campaign. Philadelphia doesn't exactly have much incentive to move Wentz either, as he carries an enormous dead cap hit in 2021.

In order to get a deal done, someone is likely going to need to blow the Eagles away.

It's speaks to Wentz's talent that he's getting serious interest despite losing the starting job after throwing almost as many TDs (16) and INTs (15). Perhaps it also indicates how desperate teams are around the league to find their next starter, with several franchises on the prowl for a new QB.
