Cam Newton Has Bad Ass Quote About Return to Panthers

After roughly 1.5 years away from the Carolina Panthers, Cam Newton officially made his return to the team in a big way on Sunday. The team re-signed Newton after an injury to starter Sam Darnold and question marks around backup P.J. Walker's viability as a long-term starter.

Being signed earlier in the week, Cam wasn't prepared to be the full-time starter just a few days later, but he was active and he did make a massive impact, scoring 2 touchdowns in Sunday's win over the Arizona Cardinals.

When asked during the postgame how much of the new playbook he had grasped heading into the game, Newton had the perfect response – "two touchdowns worth."

Cam made himself known after scoring his first touchdown, running around screaming to the crowd "I'm back." It seems Newton has some revitalized energy being back in Carolina and that's good news for everyone involved.

When healthy, Newton still represents one of the most unique and lethal dual-threat weapons the NFL has ever seen, and if he's going to expand or replicate the type of performance he had on Sunday fore the rest of the season, he will put the Panthers in a position to win a lot more games.
