The Chicago Bulls have acquired All-Star center Nikola Vucevic in a trade with the Orlando Magic, according to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski. Al-Farouq Aminu will also head to Chicago in the deal, while the Bulls will send Otto Porter and Wendell Carter Jr., along with two first-round picks. One of the first-round picks will be for the upcoming 2021 NBA Draft, with the other slated for 2023.

The Bulls are 19-24 on the season, and they're currently ranked 10th in the East. However, once you get past the top-three teams, the conference is tightly bunched as Chicago is only 3.0 games behind the Charlotte Hornets, who are in fourth place. Note that teams seeded seventh through 10th will be involved in a play-in tournament to qualify for the playoffs.

Bringing in Vucevic could propel the Bulls up the standings as he's averaging 24.5 points, 11.8 rebounds, and 3.8 assists per game. Less than two years ago, he signed a four-year contract worth $100 million with the Magic, so he won't be scheduled to be a free agent again until after the 2023 season.

Chicago currently has +25000 odds to win it all this season, per FanDuel Sportsbook.
