The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are fresh off a Super Bowl victory and will be looking to repeat as champions in 2021. Just like any other NFL team, they are making moves this NFL offseason to position themselves as best they can before the season kicks off in August.

They have recently been linked to two New England Patriots players in James White and Julian Edelman. Quarterback Tom Brady played with both of these offensive playmakers during his time spent in New England and a reunion could be in the works.

James White Buccaneers

White is a free agent this offseason and is said to be drawing interest from a number of different NFL teams. He had a down year in 2020, but is one of the best dual-threat running backs in the league racking up 3,184 receiving yards and 1,240 rushing yards during his 7 years in the NFL.

It's possible the Buccaneers lose running back Leonard Fournette to free agency and should be looking to bring in a pass-catching back to complement Ronald Jones. White fits that role perfectly and wouldn't cost the team too much money as they try and re-sign a bulk of their roster from last season.

Julian Edelman Buccaneers

It's important to note that Edelman finished with 1,117 yards on 100 receptions during the 2019 season catching passes from Brady. He acted as a security blanket on offense and could fill another area of need for the Buccaneers since they have yet to re-sign wide receiver Antonio Brown.

Plus, the Patriots recently signed two receivers and it seems as if Edelman could soon become the odd man out at the position. Despite the fact that Edelman is not a free agent, these two teams have shown in the past that they are not shy to make a trade with one another. Most recently, the Patriots traded Rob Gronkowski to the Buccaneers to reunite him with Brady as well.
