The Tampa Bay Buccaneers went through their trials during the 2020 season, but they peaked at just the right moment, helping them advance from the Wild Card Round to Super Bowl LV. Tampa's offense has been a bright spot, giving them an edge in each of their three playoff games.

Head coach Bruce Arians adamantly believes that the team's offensive coordinator, Byron Leftwich, deserves a look for an NFL head coaching gig.

Arians has heaps of praise for Leftwich's involvement in the offense and helping QB legend Tom Brady get accustomed to the Bucs' system.

"I mean, people give me way too much credit because I don’t do sh-t, really. He does it all. He calls the plays. I’m really upset he didn’t get a head-coaching interview. . . . Byron didn’t even get a call, and I think people give Tom Brady and Bruce Arians way too much credit and not enough credit for Byron Leftwich.”

But going beyond praise, Arians calls out the rest of the league for not even giving Leftwich a call for one of this offseason's head coaching vacancies. Fellow offensive coordinators and even position coaches got promotions this offseason, while Leftwich had little consideration despite his work with Brady and Tampa's offense.

After an impressive postseason and Super Bowl appearance, though, Leftwich could start to garner some well-earned interest.
