Brandon Jacobs Claims He’s Serious About NFL Comeback at New Position

With Tim Tebow making an NFL return with the Jacksonville Jaguars (this time at tight end) after being away from the league for roughly a decade, it has spurred other retired players to consider doing the same thing. The latest one is former New York Giants running back Brandon Jacobs.
Brandon Jacobs NFL Comeback
He took to Twitter to announce his intentions to not only come back, but come back as a defensive end, not a running back. Aiming to switch positions just as Tebow is.
Well since Tebow came back after being off a good bit, I am announcing today that I to will comeback. I will play defensive end for whatever team gives me a chance!!!

While others have said this mostly in jest, Jacobs seems to be serious about it. He pled his case on the athleticism and desire he still very much possesses, even at the age of 38 and roughly eight years after he retired in 2013.
I am really serious about coming back as a defensive end. I can still run, I am strong and there’s no way Tim Tebow is a better athlete than I am. I just need a shot that’s it!! If I can’t cut it I’ll take it like a man. Just give me one chance that’s all!!

It seems like a long shot that Jacobs is contacted or brought in by an NFL team, especially considering the unique circumstances in which Tebow landed on the Jags. And even he is considered to have a slim chance of making the Jags' final roster.
