Russell Okung struggled in Carolina last season and now heads into free agency looking for a fresh start. The former first-round pick will be entering his 12th NFL season in 2021, but has only played in 13 games over the last two seasons. He will need to stay healthy to contribute to a contending team.

There are a multitude of NFL teams looking to upgrade their edge protection and add a veteran to bring leadership and experience to the offensive line. With that being said, here are the three best remaining free-agent destinations for Okung.

1. Cincinnati Bengals

The Cincinnati Bengals already made one offseason offensive line signing in Riley Reiff, but don't be surprised if they sign Okung as well. One of the main storylines in the NFL last season was the team's inability to protect quarterback Joe Burrow in the pocket. While Okung may be looking to join a contender at this point in his career, the Bengals may be able to offer him more money. Cincinnati ranks amongst the top 10 teams in the league when it comes to available cap space.

2. Green Bay Packers

If Okung does want to sign with a contender, look no further than the Green Bay Packers. Protecting Aaron Rodgers should be a top priority for a team that is set to lose two starters along the offensive line in Corey Linsley and Rick Wagner. Signing Okung would instantly fill one of those starting positions and allow the Packers to ease David Bakhtiari back into action next season. The Packers are not known for making a ton of free agency moves, but this is one that wouldn't break the bank.

3. Las Vegas Raiders

The Las Vegas Raiders are right on the cusp of being a playoff team and would benefit from bringing in a veteran offensive lineman like Okung. The team recently made headlines by trading starters Trent Brown and Rodney Hudson. The Raiders have been shuffling players in and out of their offensive line for the last few years and need to build stability for next season. If Okung can stay healthy, the Raiders would be smart to sign him and secure one of the offense's starting spots.
