The Open Championship at Royal St. George's is shaping up to be an exciting finale to golf's list of 2021 majors. With a field of elite players and storied course, we should prepare for a great four days of golf. While betting on the winner is common practice, FanDuel Sportsbook also offers a ton of prop bets to consider.

Best British Open Prop Bets

Let's take a look at three of our favorite prop bets for the 2021 British Open.

1. Brooks Koepka Top-5 Finish (+320)

Brooks Koepka is known for turning it on at majors. Seemingly always in contention in the biggest events of the year, that has held true in 2021 as well. Koepka comes into this event with three top-5 finishes in his last four starts. Two of those starts were also in majors, against the toughest competition in the PGA Championship and U.S. Open where he finished T-2 and T-4, respectively.

2. Xander Schauffele Winner Group B Betting (+220)

This is picking Xander Schauffele to have the best total score in the tournament among Group B, which includes him, Jordan Spieth, Dustin Johnson and Louis Oosthuizen. While that's an impressive list of names, Schauffele comes into the event on a really impressive run. He has placed in the top-20 in six of his last seven starts, and that includes two top-10 finishes at the two toughest majors of the year in The Masters (T-3) and more recently the U.S. Open (T-7).

3. Tournament Match Betting Jordan Spieth over Dustin Johnson (-112)

Jordan Spieth has quietly had a really good year after struggling for much of the last couple. The University of Texas product has six top-10 finishes in his last 10 starts and eight in his last 13. Spieth also has a top-3 finish at The Masters and a top-20 finish at the U.S. Open this year. Johnson, on the other hand, also finished top-20 at the U.S. Open (19th), but failed to make the cut in both The Masters and the PGA Championship this year. With even odds coming into the event, Spieth's track record in 2021 bodes well here compared to Johnson.
