Best Kicker for Fantasy Football 2021

Kickers can often be an afterthought in fantasy football, but like it or not they score points for your team just like anyone else.

It may not be a ton of fun researching the position, though a sharp player isn't going to turn up their nose at an extra couple of fantasy points per game by nailing the position.

The Duel is here to help with that research. Here are the top 12 kickers for fantasy football in 2021, taken from our 2021 fantasy football PPR rankings.

Fantasy Football Kicker Rankings

12. Ryan Succop, Tampa Bay Buccaneers

11. Daniel Carlson, Las Vegas Raiders

10. Michael Badgley, Los Angeles Chargers

9. Robbie Gould, San Francisco 49ers

8. Jason Sanders, Miami Dolphins

7. Rodrigo Blankenship, Indianapolis Colts

It came as a bit of a surprise when Rodrigo Blankenship went undrafted in 2020, and Hot Rod immediately proved why he deserved to be drafted in his rookie season. Starting right from Week 1, Blankenship finished tied for fifth among all kickers with 141 fantasy points on the year. His 32 made field goals were also the fifth most in the NFL, and he didn't miss many gimmes. He nailed 95.6% of his extra points while going 31/34 on field goal attempts under 50 yards.

6. Matt Prater, Arizona Cardinals

5. Tyler Bass, Buffalo Bills

4. Greg Zuerlein, Dallas Cowboys

3. Younghoe Koo, Atlanta Falcons

Younghoe Koo's 10.7 fantasy points per game in 2020 were the most for any kicker who played at least two games on the year. It's hard not to like that kind of production, but the Atlanta Falcons' offense just isn't quite good enough to elevate him into the top tier at the position with the next two names.

2. Justin Tucker, Baltimore Ravens

1. Harrison Butker, Kansas City Chiefs

Justin Tucker has long reigned supreme as the best kicker in fantasy football, but we'll side with the Kansas City Chiefs' offense to elevate Harrison Butker to the No. 1 spot. Butker was the top scoring fantasy kicker in 2019 and the third-highest scorer in 2018 before suffering a bit of a drop-off in 2020. He still finished No. 9 at the position, however. Trying to predict which offenses will get into scoring range but fizzle out (to kick field goals instead of extra points) is generally a fool's errand, though it's a pretty safe assumption that the kicker attached to the NFL's best offense will be one of the league's top scorers at the position in any given year.
