The Cleveland Browns had a frustrating season in 2019, and that's been the story for the organization in recent years. They are hoping new leadership helps to take them to the next level in 2020, as the team already has a great deal of talent on both sides of the ball.

This Browns team is built to contend, with a strong mix of both youth and veteran talent. These are the three best contracts on the Browns roster.

1. Baker Mayfield, QB

As mentioned previously, the Browns are a great mix of veteran and youth talent. With tremendous weapons around him and a rebuilt offensive line, Baker Mayfield will have a great opportunity to take a jump in his third season. This team has been able to surround their quarterback with Super Bowl-level talent, due to Mayfield still being on his rookie contract, worth $32.7 million over four years.

2. Denzel Ward, CB

Denzel Ward is another player that is still on his rookie contract, and he is also among the best in the league at his position. That's always going to be a situation that gives the team a ton of value. Last season, Ward held quarterbacks to a 48.2 percent completion rate when targeted, which ranked seventh among cornerbacks targeted at least 25 times. He allowed just 1 touchdown and limited quarterbacks to a 62.2 passer rating, which makes him worth every penny of his four-year, $29.2 million contract.

3. Nick Chubb, RB

Nick Chubb has been among the best running backs in the NFL, averaging over 5.0 yards per carry in both of his NFL seasons. He is still on his rookie contract, worth $7.4 million over four years. We'd also be remiss not to mention Kareem Hunt, he proved to be an electric, change-of-pace weapon for the Browns in 2019. He is on a bargain of a one-year deal worth $3.3 million for the 2020 season.
