Bengals Get Good News With Joe Mixon Injury Update After Week 4 Win

Cincinnati Bengals running back Joe Mixon was off to a great start to the year, thanks to finally being 100% healthy. However, he was seemingly bit by the injury bug once again at the end of the team's Week 4 win on Thursday night.
Head coach Zac Taylor provided an update on Mixon's status after the victory.
Zac Taylor when asked about Joe Mixon exiting the game late in the 4th quarter:

“I think it's a minor ankle injury, I believe. I would have to confirm, but he was moving around on it coming off the field. I had no idea what the diagnosis or timeline was."https://t.co/BkycS2Lb0f
Joe Mixon Injury
Taylor believes that Mixon's ankle injury is "minor" and didn't seem too concerned after Thursday's game. Still, the new ailment is something for Bengals fans to worry about. Mixon didn't take the field for the team's game-winning drive, so it's clear something isn't right.
Mixon has missed significant time in his career due to injuries. That includes being limited to just six games in 2020 due to a foot injury. Now he's dealing with another lower-leg issue, and it's fair to be concerned about the fifth-year pro's health heading into Week 5.
Thankfully Mixon will have over a week to recover with Cincinnati's next game set for Sunday, Oct. 10. Those extra rest days coming off of Thursday Night Football could be pivotal in getting the RB back to his pre-injury self.
