The Cincinnati Bengals would like to move on quickly from Monday night's loss to the Cleveland Browns. Cincinnati's offense failed to show up on Halloween night, scoring just 13 points in the lopsided affair.
Unfortunately, moving on will be easier said than done after the team learned more news on Chidobe Awuzie's injury.
Chidobe Awuzie Injury Update
NFL insider Ian Rapoport reported Tuesday morning that there's fear Awuzie "suffered a season-ending knee injury." He's due for an MRI today in order to confirm these fears around a torn ACL.
Awuzie is the best cornerback on Cincinnati's roster and his absence leaves a major void. Consistently lined up against opposing teams' top wideouts, Awuzie leads the team with 5 passes defended. Opposing QBs complete just 39.6% of their passes and rack up a dismal 55.6 QBR when targeting Awuzie.
Monday's loss falls the Bengals to just 4-4 on the season. Fortunately, the team still holds favorable +2800 odds (9th) to win Super Bowl 57 on FanDuel Sportsbook.
