Roughly one-third of the way into the MLB season, we've seen some teams outpace expectations while others have underachieved. The latest odds to win the World Series feature a couple of surprises, but the cream of the crop remains on top.

The Houston Astros (+350) still have the best odds to win the World Series, according to FanDuel Sportsbook, just ahead of the Los Angeles Dodgers (+450) and New York Yankees (+600).

But it's the Minnesota Twins (+800) who have made the biggest leap recently. The Twins have the best record in baseball, at 40-18, with a .690 winning percentage. They also have the league's best batting average (.275) and slugging percentage (.511), along with the most home runs (109) and RBI (334) in 2019.

With the Astros still leading the way, Houston not only has one of the easiest remaining schedules in the league but also an 8.5-game lead in the AL West. And if the team's elite pitching and hitting keep it up, the Astros are essentially a lock to be playing in October.

However, the games still need to be played, meaning we're likely to see many more changes in the odds to win the World Series between now and October.
