Angels Get Bad Injury Update on Taylor Ward

The Los Angeles Angels are struggling right now, losing their last 10 games in a row. Unfortunately, the latest injury update on Taylor Ward isn't going to help matters much.

Ward has been placed on the 10-day injured list with a hamstring issue.

This is a devastating blow for a team that can't afford something like this. Ward had been phenomenal this season, slashing .333/.443/.644 with 10 home runs, 26 RBI, and 7 doubles in 38 games.

Ward initially suffered the injury against the Phillies on Friday, so this update is confirmation that the injury is a little more serious than initially feared.

The Angels need him to get back on track soon. Los Angeles is 7.5 games behind the Houston Astros in the AL West and this 10-game losing streak obviously isn't helping matters. The Angels are available at +500 to win the AL West, according to FanDuel Sportsbook.
