Andy Reid Trolls Himself Over Memories from Eagles' Tenure

Kansas City Chiefs head coach Andy Reid has never been shy about showing his sense of humor, whether that's in post-game interviews or TV commercials. He's always quick with a joke and has no problem poking fun at himself.
That sense of humor was on display Monday night when he was interviewed for the start of Super Bowl Week. When asked about his previous tenure as the Philadelphia Eagles' head coach, his response was classic Andy Reid.
Former Eagles coach Andy Reid was just asked if he had any favorite Philly slang that’s stuck to him. Reid redirected the conversation and replied:

“I know how to run to the cheesesteaks. I could definitely zip to those.”

Reid's affinity for food is well-known and always seems to be near the top of his mind, so it's not surprising that he immediately brought up Philly cheesesteaks.
Of course, Reid's remarks obscure the fact that he was a terrific coach during his time in Philadelphia. Reid guided the Eagles to an impressive 224-130 record from 1999-2012, leading them to the Super Bowl during the 2004 campaign. Unfortunately for him and his players, they were unable to overcome a stacked New England Patriots team led by Tom Brady and Bill Belichick.
Reid joined the Chiefs in 2013 and has continued his success there, winning a Super Bowl and reaching two more. If Kansas City wins this year, you can be sure he'll celebrate with a tasty meal.
The Chiefs are currently listed as 1.5-point underdogs against Reid's former team on FanDuel Sportsbook's Super Bowl odds.
