Bryce Harper is arguably the biggest name in baseball and is clearly the top free agent left on the open market. With Spring Training having already kicked off, where Harper ends up is still anyone's guess. But rather than guess, let's take a peek at what some experts are predicting as his ultimate destination for the 2019 MLB season.
Bryce Harper Prediction for 2019 MLB Season
Randy Miller, NJ Advance Media
Randy Miller, Yankees beat writer for NJ Advance Media for NJ.com, says that a trusted source of his told him the Los Angeles Dodgers and Chicago Cubs were Harper's preferred destinations all along. With the Dodgers now seemingly the favorite, it wouldn't be crazy to see Harper in LA on Opening Day. And
For what it’s worth, my source who is close to Bryce Harper tells me #Dodgers and #Cubs were 1st choices all along and he prefers not to sign with #Phillies. I’ve been hearing all winter that Harper does not want to play for Gabe Kapler due to analytics and quirky personality— Randy Miller (@RandyJMiller) February 26, 2019
Jon Morosi, MLB.com & FOX Sports
Jon Morosi, of MLB.com and FOX Sports, points to the Dodgers infatuation with Nolan Arenado as a big reason why Harper could end up in LA. Now that Arenado is off the market, after signing an eight-year, $260-million contract extension, he says to look for the Dodgers to spend that money on a player like Harper.
More on #Dodgers as possible Bryce Harper destination: As a wise baseball friend reminded me, the Dodgers’ front office was known to admire Nolan Arenado, who as of today is no longer an option. Suddenly, there is more room in the team’s future budget. @MLB @MLBNetwork— Jon Morosi (@jonmorosi) February 26, 2019
Sporting News still says that the Phillies are the favorite to land Harper, but that internally there is a growing concern that the slugger will sign with the Dodgers.

That's two experts predicting Harper signs with the Dodgers and one saying he ends up in Philadelphia. But the only people that really know where Bryce ends up are likely himself, his wife and his agent.
