After Week 6 brought a six-way tie for the best odds to win the NFL MVP, Week 7 just wasn't the week for the NFL's highest-touted talents chasing the 2018-19 award.

Out of the Top-20 MVP candidates in order of best odds to win heading into Week 7, only two of them actually improved their odds after last weekend.

You've probably already guessed one of these two players is Patrick Mahomes after the second-year star tossed four touchdown passes in a 45-10 win over the Cincinnati Bengals on Sunday night.

But the second MVP stock-riser in Atlanta Falcons QB Matt Ryan may surprise you, especially after leading his team to a 1-4 start to the season. They're now 3-4 after a three-point win over the reeling New York Giants.

New Orleans Saints QB Drew Brees and Los Angeles Rams running back Todd Gurley both survived Week 7 with no change in their odds, but Aaron Rodgers and Jared Goff weren't quite as lucky after falling from +600 to +700. Tough break for a player like Rodgers that was on a bye week.

San Diego Chargers QB Philip Rivers and Saints RB Alvin Kamara also saw significant slides, falling by 400 and 500 respectively.
