As we head into the last week before the first half of the NFL season, a win in Week 8 should be a milestone for Survivor pool players. The halfway point is done and gone with a win this week and the tribe has not yet spoken. Let's look at the best teams on this week's slate to get you to that half-way point.
3. New England Patriots @ Buffalo Bills, Monday, 8:15 p.m. EST

This one is the obvious pick of the week. Many started out the year picking whatever team played against the Bills, but that strategy was ruined when they upset the Vikings in Minnesota in a blowout, knocking out half or more of most Survivor Pools. This is a different story now though. The Patriots look like the Patriots again, and the BIlls look like, well, the Bills. Anyone Buffalo puts at quarterback seems to be worse than the last. Don't overthink this one, the Patriots got this.
2. Miami Dolphins @ Houston Texans, Thursday, 8:20 p.m. EST

Don't look now, but the once 0-3 Texans are now winners of four straight games and the leaders of the AFC South division. We're not expecting some huge comeback from Brocktober in his return to Houston. The Dolphins offense is riddled with injuries, and as we mentioned, Houston in one of the hottest teams in the NFL right now. Expect a big day from Watson as the Texans roll to a win at home.
1. Denver Broncos @ Kansas City Chiefs, Sunday, 1:00 p.m. EST

Kansas City is 6-1 on the year and 7-0 ATS. Kareem Hunt finally has come back from the dead and is a fantasy monster once again. Both defenses have major weaknesses. Denver's rushing defense is the worst in the NFL, so Hunt being on fire presents a perfectly-timed matchup for him and the Chiefs. This game might be high scoring, but if you're banking on a team in a shootout game, there is none better than the Kansas City Chiefs this year.
