3 NFL Teams on Upset Alert in Week 4

In a 2018-19 NFL season that has been absolutely dominated by underdogs taking it to the favorites both against the spread and outright through the first three weeks, let's keep the momentum and highlight three of Week 4's teams on upset alert.

3. Minnesota Vikings @ Los Angeles Rams (-7)

It's safe to say the Minnesota Vikings haven't gotten off to the start that most people, (including oddsmakers) were expecting at 1-1-1 through the first three weeks. Week 3's total blunder against the Buffalo Bills was the cherry on top. That's exactly why the Vikings and their loaded defense may be primed for a major bounce-back performance in Week 4 against a heavily-favored Rams team, especially if Minnesota gets an optimistic Dalvin Cook back Thursday.

2. Cleveland Browns @ Oakland Raiders (-3)

It's too bad NFL's records aren't decided by against-the-spread efforts, because if they were, the lowly Cleveland Browns would be a perfect 3-0 rather than 1-1-1. However, in the world of sports betting on NFL spreads this season, the Browns have either won over or broken your heart by Week 3. Giving Cleveland three points against a struggling Raiders team as the Browns ride the momentous wave from Baker Mayfield leading the Browns to their first win in more than 635 days is interesting. Watch out Oakland.

1. Miami Dolphins @ New England Patriots (-7)

The Patriots' 1-2 start has certainly caught the attention of New England and NFL fans alike, but the Dolphins have quietly emerged as one of the three remaining undefeated teams outright and one of the four remaining unbeaten teams against the spread. Week 4's test on the road at New England will certainly be a great measuring stick of Miami's legitimacy. But it's hard to see a Dolphins team playing as well as they are being exposed by a touchdown or more by a reeling Patriots squad.
