Los Angeles Dodgers shortstop Manny Machado is sure to draw major interest from teams all over baseball this offseason. However, the list of teams that can actually afford the massive price tag he'll command makes this a very exclusive list.
Let's take a look at which teams will be looking to back up the Brinks truck for Machado.

The Cubs are more of a contender for Machado now that Addison Russell's legal issues are becoming more and more serious with each day that passes. There are already lots of players needing renewed or new contracts in Chi-Town, so a retooling of the roster may be needed to bring Machado to the Windy City. If anyone can do it, though, it's Theo Epstein and the knowledgeable Cubs front office.

There's no doubt the La La Land faithful would love to keep Machado in Dodger blue, but they'll have to make some wholesale changes in order to do so. People seem to forget that Corey Seager is still on this roster, and that would mean that either he or Machado would need to move to third, or even second base. There's also a lot of money still owed to All-Star pitcher Clayton Kershaw, which could temper the number the Dodgers can and will offer.
2. Philadelphia Phillies

The Phillies have lots of money they'll be looking to unload this offseason, and Machado is one of, if not thee biggest priority. Machado has made it clear his preference is to play shortstop, and that's something the Phils can offer along with a very lucrative contract.

Name a free agent the Yankees don't have interest in. This one actually has some credence since Machado has always been fascinated by the idea of playing in The Bronx. Also, if the recent injury to Didi Gregorius lingers or becomes more serious, the Yanks would have a legit excuse to make a move for Machado.
