Josh Gordon Not Guaranteed to Play in Week 3

Everyone is anxiously waiting to see how Josh Gordon plays in the high-powered New England Patriots offense. Unfortunately, we all might have to wait a week.

The stars are not aligning like we hoped as Gordon might not play Sunday night against the Detroit Lions.

Josh Gordon sitting out? That's something that never happens!

We're all used to Gordon not playing on Sundays, but it's fair to be impatient. You can only imagine how potent the New England offense will be with him in it, but there's too much going against him. With his recent hamstring injury and unfamiliarity with the complex Patriots' playbook, it doesn't look like Gordon will have a monster day any way you slice it. 

Josh Gordon didn’t get a lot of practice time this week due to the hamstring and integration process. If he does get clearance to play tonight, the expectation would be for a limited role, barring extenuating circumstances.

Even if he does play, it still won't be the real Flash Gordon we all remember.
