The Detroit Lions were embarrassed on "Monday Night Football" in front of a national TV auctience, but that might be the least of their problems at the moment.

According to NFL Network's Mike Garafolo, there are plenty of veteran Lions players that are upset with head coach Matt Patricia and his rigid ways.

Apparently their issues revolve around the fact that they were worked hard in preseason and Patricia has instituted new rules they don't like.

The displeasure, if there is any, showed in their play on Monday night, as the Lions were throttled by the New York Jets, 48-17. It really wasn't a bad game at all in the first half, but the Jets outscored the Lions 31-7 in the second half.

Things were even more magnified, considering the Lions' defense was supposed to have a field day against Jets rookie quarterback Sam Darnold. It started out well for the Lions, who took Darnold's first-ever throw in the NFL to the house for a pick-six.

Lions fans might want to take a walk around the block and calm down for a second. After all, we're only one game into the season, and it's not like they have this great track record of success.
