Disgruntled Steelers running back Le'Veon Bell is doing nothing but making life difficult on his "current" team. Many have suggested a change of scenery could be in order, but in the words of legendary broadcaster Brent Musburger, "Not so fast, my friends."
To anyone suggesting the Steelers trade RB Le'Veon Bell, Pittsburgh is not even considering that option at this time, per source. No interest in dealing him. Steelers will wait for him, and some around the league believe Bell will be back before end of month.— Adam Schefter (@AdamSchefter) September 9, 2018
Bell has yet to report to Steelers camp, and that was quite a surprising move, considering he forfeit an $853,000 game check. I don't know about you, but if that much money was on the line I'd make sure I was there an hour early.
The 4 p.m. deadline today will come and go without Steelers' RB Le'Veon Bell reporting, per sources. Steelers are on their way to Cleveland and Bell is not with them. He will miss Sunday's game against Cleveland, along with the opportunity to earn $853,000. James Conner time.— Adam Schefter (@AdamSchefter) September 8, 2018
James Conner will indeed start at running back for the Steelers, and he has become the darling of all-things fantasy over the past few days. The former PITT Panther has also drawn praise from his teammates throughout training camp, and he'll be leaned on heavily today in Cleveland with the weather set to be nasty throughout the whole game.
The Steelers are 3.5-point favorites today against the Browns after opening at -6.
