During his 12-year NFL career, Matt Ryan has put together a fine resumé. His 94.6 career passer rating, 109-80 record as a starter, and numerous accolades have made him one of the best quarterbacks in Atlanta Falcons history.

The Falcons have stuck with him, and he's rewarded them with 12 seasons of mostly above-average play, which is saying something given the difficulty of the job. We looked through the record books to find which three teams he's been best against over the course of his career.

3. New York Giants

Matt Ryan has thoroughly dominated the New York Giants, even if his head-to-head record is only 3-2. Over five regular season games, Ryan averaged 319.2 yards per game and has 8 touchdown passes to 1 interception. However, Ryan probably wishes he'd done a little better in their one playoff meeting, a 24-2 loss in the NFC Wild Card Round. Still, Ryan's record against the Giants is enough to give their fans headaches.

2. Green Bay Packers

Once again, although Ryan is 4-4 against the Green Bay Packers, his performances have been spectacular. In the regular season, his passer rating against Green Bay is 100.2 and he's thrown 17 touchdowns to just 6 picks. Despite a disappointing blowout loss in the 2012 Divisional Round, Ryan and the Falcons avenged that with a crushing win in the 2017 NFC Championship. Beating Aaron Rodgers four times is nothing to sneeze at.

1. Carolina Panthers

Matt Ryan's brilliance against the Carolina Panthers is well-documented. With a 16-8 regular season record, 39 career passing touchdowns, an average of 275.8 yards per game and 3 uncharacteristic rushing touchdowns, Ryan brings something special when facing Carolina. In his 2016 MVP season, Ryan threw for a team record 503 yards and 4 touchdowns, 300 of which went to Julio Jones. Despite a 1-7 start in 2019, Ryan and the Falcons still managed to beat the Panthers twice.
